Been a pretty quiet day. Slept in a little more than we have been. Headed for the bike shop to see if we could get them serviced. Got to the Harley Dealer a few minutes before they opened (9am) and was the first in line. That was a pretty good thing. While I was getting the paperwork filled out, 1 of the mechanics called in sick. They only have 2 on Mondays. I had them check out a trouble code my bike was putting out, change the fluids and put on a new back tire. By the time all that was done, it was 1:30. There was quite a line of travelers waiting to get things done on theirs also. Sure am glad I was first.
Dave went to the Kawasaki shop to get his done. They didn't have near the activity. Plus, they didn't wash his, while the Harley shop cleaned mine up. Just a little difference between them:
The Harley shops all seem to be pretty good about getting people on the road in and out as quickly as they can. You always go to the front of any other scheduled work they may have.
We just finished booking rooms for tomorrow night in Denali Park. The most expensive rooms on the trip by far. But, they look pretty nice, are about 7 miles from the park entrance. It will take us about 2 hours to get there tomorrow, so we get to sleep in again. On Wednesday, we have a jeep tour scheduled through the park. Seems like a kid from Allen, Tx works there. We got the info from his mom when she found out we were headed this way. He was really excited when I called him. He got us all set up, gave us the name and number for the place we are staying and said he will really take care of us when we show up. I'm looking forward to it.
Off for a beer and something to eat. Tomorrow should see more pictures and stories posted.
