Picture this if you can: 2 Texas boys sitting in Alaska celebrating their accomplishment in getting there drinking good Mexican Tequila smoking Cuban cigars. It just don't get any better!!!!!!
Just figured somebody would want to see the celebration. Sorry, that is all you get........
While we were sitting there last night, we realized that the mountain peak we were seeing in the distance had to be Mt. McKinley. As the crow flies, it is probably 150 miles or better away. But, when you are over 20,000 feet high (tallest point in N. America), you can be seen from a long way away. Here are a couple of shots of what it looked like this morning.
Yes Virginia, there is a North Pole. Been there, seen it and talked to the man. So, if anyone has any question on whether or not it exists, I would be more than happy to let you know it does. Sent a postcard to my grandson telling him that I would answer any questions he might have in the coming years about it.
The next day or so will be pretty quiet. Going to the Harley shop in the morning to see if I can get my bike serviced. Looks like I'm going to need a new back tire on top of the oil change. Then, it will be time to do my laundry. Doesn't all that sound like fun? So, may not be much posted tomorrow night. Depends on how exciting the bike shop and laundry turn out to be. After that, things should pick up again.
