We've been planning this trip for the last 3 or 4 years. Finally got all the details worked out about work, etc. Got both our companies to agree to let us have the time off. We will be gone for 4 weeks, so this wasn't as easy as it sounds, especially since I just started a new job. But, where there is a will, there is a way.
Dave is coming over to the house tomorrow, I've got maps copied, so we will drink a little wine and route plan. The route may be real interesting depending on the quantity of wine drunk. But, after 8 years of taking motorcycle trips together, the one thing we plan is the direction we start heading. Then, each morning we decide where to head next. This decision changes as we see new roads or signs for places we would like to visit. Always amazes the people we encounter who ask where we are heading and we just point in a general direction.
Just remember, it isn't the destination, it's the journey..........
